There is an old saying among sports fans that goes “Good big beats good little.” In sports size matters, and the Northeast Hawks 9 U team has size in abundance. They are raw, but at nine years old that is to be expected, but they are powerful, well coached, and quickly gelling as a team. The offensive line looks more like night club bouncers than 4th graders. The defense is flying to the ball, and the backs are running hard. I recently watched them scrimmage a pretty good Eastside Raiders 10 U team and hold their own. It will be interesting to see how they hold up this season.
